Definition

An emergency plumber in Las Vegas is a Nevada C-1 licensed plumbing contractor who takes after-hours calls for leaks, backups and gas lines. Angi's 2026 national average is $170 an hour, plus a $150 to $300 emergency fee.

Is it an emergency, or can a 24 hour plumber in Las Vegas wait?

It is an emergency when water is running and the main will not close, sewage is coming up, there is no water, or you smell gas. A drip, a slow drain or a running toilet can wait for daytime, when HomeGuide puts same-day rates at $100 to $200 an hour instead of $150 to $350 on weekends. Frozen pipes are rare: the valley averages 9.8 nights a year at or below 32 F, NOAA's normals show. Companies that take emergency calls set their own hours, so ask a 24 hour plumber in Las Vegas for the trip fee before anyone drives out. More in the emergency plumber cost guide.

LVVWD leak deadlines after an emergency repair

The Las Vegas Valley Water District runs two programs, and both have clocks:

  • Leak Adjustment. Reverses the leak part of excess use charges when use during the leak ran at least 50% above your baseline. The repair must be made within 60 days of the billing date when the leak was found, you cannot have had a credit in the past 12 months, and you apply in My Account within 90 days of the repair.
  • Leak Repair Reimbursement. Up to 50% of the repair cost, capped at $2,000 per event, for repairs of at least $200. Single-family owners only, paid invoices only, and since July 1, 2025 once per rolling 365 days.

LVVWD's customer line is 702-870-2011.
