Freedom Forever Claim Deadline: Oct 16, 2026 and How to File
Anyone owed money by Freedom Forever must file a proof of claim (Official Form 410) with the claims agent Kroll by October 16, 2026.
Governmental claims are due February 3, 2027. There is no filing fee, the form asks for your contract and payment records, and it is the only route to recover a deposit or repair cost from the liquidating company.
The Freedom Forever claim deadline is October 16, 2026, the date set by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware by which anyone owed money by Freedom Forever LLC, including customers with deposits, unfinished installations or warranty claims, must file a proof of claim (Official Form 410) with the claims agent, Kroll.
Who should file a claim against Freedom Forever
- Customers who paid a deposit or progress payment and did not receive a completed system.
- Customers whose installation caused roof damage, electrical problems or permit failures that cost money to fix.
- Customers who paid out of pocket for repairs that the 25-year workmanship warranty or production guarantee should have covered.
- Anyone with a refund, rebate or referral payment Freedom Forever owed and did not pay.
A customer whose system was finished, works, and has not cost them anything has no claim to file. Filing does not affect your loan, your lease or your equipment warranties.

Is it urgent? The claim deadline and signs the system needs help today
A Freedom Forever system with no installer behind it is an emergency only if it shows fire or electrical damage; a system that has simply stopped producing can wait for a normal service visit, and the 5 signs below sort one from the other.
- Smoke, flames, sparks, arcing or a burning smell at the panels, inverter, battery or wiring: get everyone away from it and call 911. Tell the operator the house has rooftop solar and show firefighters where the AC disconnect is, as Hawaiian Electric advises. Do not touch the equipment, and do not throw water on a burning battery.
- Panels cracked, torn loose or hanging after a storm, or wires exposed: stay off the roof and do not touch them. Hawaiian Electric says to assume solar panels are energized. If you can reach the AC disconnect or the system shutdown switch without going near the damage, turn it off. Tesla's inverter manual says turning off the AC disconnect starts rapid shutdown, which brings a Tesla array to safe voltage levels within 30 seconds.
- Water coming through the ceiling under the array: urgent within days, because a leak at a mount keeps getting worse. That is roof work; see roof leak under solar panels.
- The system shows zero but nothing is damaged: not an emergency. The house still has grid power; the cost is lost production every sunny day, so check the breaker and the inverter light, then call the repair line.
- The claim itself: the deadline is October 16, 2026. File electronically if the date is close; a mailed claim has to arrive at Kroll by the deadline.
Do this now: file a proof of claim by October 16, 2026
- Gather the contract, proof of payments, photos of the problem, repair invoices and any emails with Freedom Forever. The claim amount is what you paid plus what the problem cost you.
- Go to restructuring.ra.kroll.com/FreedomForever and use the electronic proof of claim link, or download Official Form 410.
- Enter the debtor as Freedom Forever LLC, Case No. 26-10522 (BLS), District of Delaware, and describe the basis of the claim in plain words: deposit for unfinished solar installation, warranty repair cost, roof damage.
- Attach the supporting documents. Keep personal account numbers off the attachments; the form asks only for the last four digits.
- File electronically or mail to Freedom Forever LLC Claims Processing Center, c/o Kroll Restructuring Administration LLC, P.O. Box 4850, New York, NY 10163-4850, so it arrives by October 16, 2026.
- Save the confirmation. Kroll's claims register will show the claim once it is docketed.
There is no fee to file and the form is designed for creditors to file themselves; whether to involve a lawyer is your call. In a Chapter 7 liquidation, unsecured claims are paid only after secured lenders and administrative costs, so recovery is uncertain and often small. The claim still matters: it is the only way to recover anything, and the filed record documents the loss if a lender later reviews the loan.
Need the system finished or fixed regardless of the claim? Call the repair line.
What the claim does not do
It does not cancel a loan from GoodLeap, Mosaic, EnFin or Credit Human; those are separate contracts. It does not transfer a lease; the lessor already owns the system. It does not replace a manufacturer warranty claim, which goes directly to Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla or Qcells. And it does not get an unfinished system built; the court authorized the seven finance partners to hire contractors for that, so the financier on your paperwork is the call to make.

Questions people ask
What is the Freedom Forever claim deadline?
October 16, 2026 for general creditors, including customers. Governmental units have until February 3, 2027. The deadline was set after the case converted to Chapter 7 on August 7, 2026.
How do I file a claim against Freedom Forever?
File Official Form 410 electronically at restructuring.ra.kroll.com/FreedomForever or by mail to the Kroll claims processing center in New York, with your contract, payment records and photos attached, by October 16, 2026.

The proof of claim form is designed for creditors to file themselves and there is no fee. Whether to involve a lawyer is your call; this site does not give legal advice.
Will I get my deposit back from Freedom Forever?
Possibly a portion. In a Chapter 7 liquidation, customer deposits are unsecured claims paid after secured lenders. Recovery depends on what the trustee collects and is often small.
Does filing a claim stop my solar loan payments?
No. The loan is a separate contract with GoodLeap, Mosaic, EnFin or another lender and continues. Document the problem to the lender in writing and ask about hardship options.
