Solar Panel Repair Las Vegas: $100 to $500 Visit + NV Energy
Solar panel repair in Las Vegas costs about $238 to $1,487, Angi's 2026 national range; Angi publishes no Las Vegas figure.
An owned system needs a Nevada State Contractors Board licensed contractor with the C-2g photovoltaic subclass, usually after a diagnostic visit of $100 to $300 (GreenLancer, 2026); a leased system is repaired by its servicer. NV Energy customers keep their net metering tier for 20 years; the current tier credits exports at 75% of retail. Titan Solar Power, which installed thousands of Southern Nevada systems, closed in 2024 and lost its Nevada license with a $400,000 fine. The City of Las Vegas requires SolarAPP+ for residential solar, and any system with a battery goes to full plan review. Nevada's contractor recovery fund pays up to $40,000 per claim.

Who services solar in Las Vegas when the installer is gone
In Las Vegas, the contractor for an owned system is a Nevada State Contractors Board licensed contractor with the C-2g photovoltaic subclass; the call lines on this page reach companies that take over systems whose installer closed. Titan Solar Power ran a Las Vegas office on Valley View Boulevard and installed thousands of systems in Southern Nevada before it stopped operating in June 2024 (KTNV). The Nevada State Contractors Board revoked its license on July 16, 2024 after finding 70 violations that harmed 29 homeowners, fined it $400,000, and sent harmed owners to the Residential Recovery Fund. Earlier, Summerlin Energy's 2016 bankruptcy left Las Vegas customers who had paid without equipment. For owned systems, any NSCB-licensed solar or electrical contractor (C-2 with the C-2g photovoltaic subclass) can take over.
NV Energy: what changes when you repair, reinstall or add a battery
Nevada net metering covers systems up to 25 kW. Each customer keeps the credit rate of the tier they joined for 20 years; the closed tiers paid 95%, 88% and 81% of retail, and the current tier pays 75%. In September 2025 the Public Utilities Commission approved a 15-minute peak demand charge for Southern Nevada residential customers, which NV Energy has delayed to January 2027. A district judge upheld it in May 2026, and the Attorney General is appealing to the Nevada Supreme Court. We found no NV Energy rule on whether a removal and reinstall affects your tier, so ask before the roofer starts, and keep the original interconnection paperwork.
Permits in Las Vegas and Clark County
Since February 5, 2024, the City of Las Vegas has required SolarAPP+ approval ($25 per design) before a residential solar permit, then same-day issuance through the city portal for licensed electrical contractors. Systems with battery storage, and ballasted systems, go to full plan review. In unincorporated Clark County, plans examiners review rooftop fire clearances so no separate fire permit is needed. Henderson runs its own building department; check with it directly.
Las Vegas heat and your solar system
Summer 2024 was Las Vegas's hottest on record: an all-time high of 120°F on July 7, seven straight days at 115°F or more, and 63 nights in a row that never dropped below 80°F (National Weather Service). 2025 had 77 days at 100°F or above. Inverters cut output to protect themselves in that heat, and roof-level temperatures are higher still. An inverter on a sun-baked wall, or one past its 10 to 15 year life, is the first thing to check when summer production falls.
Where to complain or recover money in Las Vegas
The Nevada State Contractors Board created a Solar Investigations Unit in May 2024; nearly a third of its roughly 3,000 complaints a year are about solar companies. Southern Nevada: (702) 486-1100. The Residential Recovery Fund pays up to $40,000 per claim for an owner-occupied single-family home, filed within four years of the work. The Nevada Attorney General also takes solar complaints online.

Roofers, electricians and water damage repair in Las Vegas
The same call lines serve Las Vegas houses with or without solar. Roof: A Nevada roofer needs a State Contractors Board C-15 Roofing and Siding license; the handyman exemption stops at $1,000 or any job that needs a permit. Nationally, Angi puts the average roof repair at $1,174, with most homeowners paying $395 to $1,968; the roof repair guide breaks it down by job. On the tile roofs common in Las Vegas, the tile outlasts the underlayment beneath it, which roof consultant Carl A. Brown puts at roughly 15 to 20 years in desert heat, so a leak on a 20-year-old tile roof can mean underlayment; see tile roof repair.
Electrical: Electrical work in Nevada needs a C-2 electrical contractor license; C-2f covers residential wiring. The electrical repair guide has hourly rates and common repair prices, and breaker keeps tripping covers the most common call.
Water damage: the EPA says wet materials dried within 24 to 48 hours usually do not grow mold, so call quickly, photograph everything and call your insurer as well. The water damage guide covers the first 48 hours.
